Gay Poetry Translation Workshop in Slovenia

27th May - 3rd June

Five poets from Slovenia, Ireland, Latvia, the Basque Country and Poland spend a week in Slovenia discussing and translating each other’s work, and give a reading of the resulting work at the Festival of Living Literature in Ljubljana.

With Rikardo Arregi Diaz de Heredia (Basque Country), Karlis Verdins (Latvia), Cathal O Searcaigh (Ireland), Jacek Denhel (Poland) and Brane Mozetič (Slovenia).

The first residency held in Galway hosted the Slovenian poet Barbara Korun and the Russian-language Latvian poets Artur Punte and Semyon Chanin.
