Poetry Translation Workshop - Algeria

From the 24th to the 31st of March in Algiers, LAF is bringing together poets Mohamed Al Amraoui from Morocco and France, Adrian Grima from Malta, Slovenian poet Brane Mozetič, Sigurdur Pállson from Iceland, Catalan poet Josep Piera, together with Algerian poets Samira Negrouche who writes in French, Achour Fenni writing in Arabic and Brahim Tazaghart, writing in Tamazight.
The workshop is a chance for the poets to share and translate not only words but ideas, insights and culture. There will be public readings taking place on Thursday the 27th of March at 14:30pm at Benyaa Art Gallery and on Sunday the 30th of March at 17:00pm in the garden of Centre Culturel Français.

The workshop is organised in cooperation with the Algerian cultural association Cadmos and with support from ISAT (Institut Superieur Arabe de Traduction) and ONDA (Office National des droits d'auteurs et droits voisins http://www.onda.dz/onda.asp).
