Poetry in Indigenous & Minority Languages
The programme Readings (Poetry in Indigenous & Minority Languages) was a part of Hyderabad Literary Festival, featuring Cecilia Artates, founding member of IHIP (Initiatives and Hearts for Indigenous People), Dumay Solinggay, member of UBBOG Cordillera Writers, a literary group based in Baguio City, Philippines, Jeanine Leane, a Wiradjuri writer and academic from southwest New South Wales, María Reimóndez, a Galician writer, translator, interpreter, and activist, and Victor Sugbo, Professor of Communication and Literature at the University of the Philippines Visayas.
In January and February, Literature Across Frontiers presented the up-and-coming generation of European writers to Indian audiences as part of its flagship project Literary Europe Live. Twelve writers met Indian audiences, publishers and journalists at six literary festivals of the winter season.
