ENLIT statement regarding Ukraine

Posted by Admin on 2 March 2022

ENLIT, the network of European cultural bodies promoting the circulation of literature through translation, unreservedly condemns the current aggression and the violent invasion of the sovereign state of Ukraine.

We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and, in particular, with our many friends and colleagues in the Ukrainian book sector who work in partnership with EnLit members. We are resolved to help these authors, translators, critics, booksellers and publishers in whatever way we can throughout these desperately challenging times, both practically and symbolically.

ENLIT fervently hopes for a speedy and peaceful resolution of this crisis.
