Literature Across Frontiers continued its consultation process towards developing a strategy for literary exchange in the Euro-Mediterranean region last weekend. Organised by LAF and Inizjamed the conference took place in in Valletta, Malta and brought together some 35 representatives of leading organisations and networks, from both the literary and the wider cultural and policy sector.

The conference, Towards a Strategy for Literary Exchange and Translation in the Euro-Mediterranean Region closed on an upbeat note: the participants agreed to create an informal network that will continue discussing and working towards a strategy for literary cooperation and exchange across the Euro-Med region, with the concrete aim of establishing a hub, physical and virtual, that will anchor and facilitate these activities.

A blog with films of the discussions and dispatches from the conference is live at http://euromedlit.wordpress.com
