LEUL+ at SabirFest 2020

13 September 2020 — 29 September 2020

Our cooperation with SabirFest, the festival of of Mediterranean culture and citizenship, and the Associazione Musicale Etnea continued in 2020 with a project which brought together the Syrian artist and illustrator Diala Brisly, known for her politically engaged community art, poets Jaroslaw Mikolajewski from Poland and Moncef Ghachem from Tunisia, as well as the singer Faisal Taher, also from Tunisia. The group worked with juvenile prison residents in a writing workshop led by Girolamo Monaco and the with the youth orchestra Jacaranda Piccola, coordinated by Puccio Castrogiovanni. The new work that has emerged from the project was a mural, a musical performance, a CD and two videos. The participation of SabirFest and Associazione Museicale Etnea in the Literary Europe Live Plus project was coordinated by Biagio Guerrera.
