International Translation Day 2016

The annual symposium for the translation community is held on the feast day of Saint Jerome, the patron saint of translators.
International Translation Day provides an opportunity for translators, students, publishers, booksellers, librarians, bloggers and reviewers to gather and debate significant issues and developments within the sector, to discuss challenges and to celebrate success.
The vibrant day-long programme includes seminars on women writers in translation, multilingualism, the state of translation in higher education, alternative routes to publication and translating for the stage.
The ITD, coorganised by a consortium we are proud to be part of, has gone from strength to strength and has been hosted at the British Library since 2013.
