Festivals, Literary Europe Live

Apart from the New Voices from Europe 2017 presentation (scheduled for Friday at 11am), Literature Across Frontiers will hold two sessions at the Kosmopolis festival as a part of the Literary Europe Live project.

On Friday 24 March at 3pm, the session “Ideas, Ideas, Ideas” will bring together literary festivals and venues with members of the platform Literature Across Frontiers to present and discuss programming ideas for live literary events with international content.

On the same day at 5pm, the session “Programming for young audience” will host curators of live literary events and digital projects who will present and discuss ideas, practices and methodologies designed to engage young audiences.

We also recommend two events featuring Sophie Divry, French novelist and one of New Voices from Europe 2017.

On Friday 24 March at noon, Divry and Jean Echenoz will talk about the changes that the crisis may have caused to the literary ecosystem, to the choice of themes with which to construct fiction, but also its relationship with publishing houses or with bookstores and libraries. On Sunday 26 March at 6pm, Marina Espasa will conduct a conversation between two writers, Kirsty Logan from Scotland and Sophie Divry, on writing, feminisms, female characters, readers, and possible and impossible worlds.

Kosmopolis is organized by CCCB, one of members of the Literary Europe Live project. You can find the full festival program here.
