European poets Adrian Grima (Maltese), Yolanda Castaño (Spanish/Galician) and Brane Mozetič (Slovenian) join Indian poets Sampurna Chattarji (English), Subhro Bandopadhyay (Bengali) and Anamika (Hindi) in a discussion and debate on the poetics and politics of translation.

The session will be moderated by writer and critic Aditya Mani Jha, and will be interspersed with poetry readings in their original and in translation.

Poetry Connections Europe India - Literary Europe Live

Literature Across Frontiers has been working with European and Indian poets for almost ten years now with workshops and performances held in Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pondicherry, Pune and Trivandrum. In 2016 we will bring together three poets from Europe with Indian poets, in cooperation with two festivals - Chandigarh Literature Festival, Mumbai Lit Live – and a partner in Delhi.
