Wales Translation Challenge
Wales Literature Exchange and PEN Cymru have launched their latest Translation Challenge. This year, they’re asking for translations of ‘El Conejo y la Chistera’, a poem by Mexican poet Pedro Serrano. Find out more about how to enter here.


Stephen Spender Prize

The 2016 Stephen Spender Prize for poetry in translation is now open for entries. The closing date is 27 May 2016. More details available here… 


Discover Turkish Literature with ITEF Bursaries

Kalem and the Istanbul Tanpinar Literature Festival (ITEF) are now accepting applications for their sixth annual Professional Fellowship Program for literary publishers and promoters – but you need to be quick as the deadline is 11 March 2016. More details…


MPT Translation Study Days

Modern Poetry in Translation (MPT) is celebrating its 50th anniversary. To mark the occasion they are hosting two special study days at Pembroke College, Cambridge and The Queen’s College, Oxford. Open to students and the general public, they’ll be celebrating and showcasing the history of the magazine through a series of workshops and readings, as well exploring our 50th anniversary anthology, Centre of Cataclysms (Bloodaxe, forthcoming 2016). Find out more on the MPT website.
