Azadeh Feridounpour

Azadeh Feridounpour received her B.A. in English Language and Literature from Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, Iran (2005) and her M.A. from the University of Tehran (2009). Her thesis is entitled To Be Playing to the Gallery of Oneself Alone: The Motif of Enclosure after WWII in Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar and Some Selected Poems.” Currently, Feridounpour is translating a book on Pilates from English to Persian. For almost three years, she has been writing a novel in Persian, meant to reach far into the hidden realms of that huge word: Life. She writes poems in three languages: Persian (her mother tongue), Turkish (of Turkey) and English. Reading, writing and researching about Sylvia Plath remains at the core of her literary endeavors.
