Zahir Mousa

Zahir Mousa is an Iraqi poet living in Baghdad, where he works as an Arabic Language teacher. His work has appeared in several newspapers and magazines, as well as an anthology of post-2003 Iraqi poets entitled More than One Moon for a Single Night. His debut collection, Two Moons and a Night, was published in collaboration with the late poet Omar Abd al-Razaq. In 2009 he won first place in the Aziz al-Sayid Jasim literary competition, and second place in the poetry round of the al-Diyar competition. He was also the winner of the prose poetry round of the Markiz al-Nour competition in 2010.
