Residence programme in Ljubljana

Slovene Writers’ Association opens a call for the residence in the Dane Zajc Writers’ Studio for authors and translators who will carry out their projects in Ljubljana in 2018.

The residence duration is 4 weeks. SWA will pay studio and accomodation cost. Residents will pay travel and living expenses as well as accident and health insurance.

The residency programme is addressed to writers with at least two published works and to literary translators who completed their training and published at least two literary translations. Translators are only eligible if they translate Slovenian literature into a foreign language. Preference will be given to authors and translators whose project would contribute to the international promotion and presence of Slovenian literature and humanities.

Applications can be submitted in Slovenian, English or Bosnian-Croatian-Montenegrin-Serbian. The following documents are required:
– a short version of CV and bibliography
– a short project proposal (no more than one 1 DIN A4 page) including information on preferred month of Residence and two alternative time slots
