Arvon Foundation
Arvon is a charity that works to ensure anyone can benefit fromthe transformative power of writing. They offer life-changing creative experiences to anyone who writes, from beginners to established published writers, from school age upwards, from all backgrounds.
Arvon run (M)other Tongues, a project funded by the Gulbenkian Foundation, and pioneered by Arvon, which encourages young people to write in both English and their mother tongue. Find out more about this at www.arvonfoundation.org/8467/Mother-Tongues.
In recent years Arvon have started running workshops in literary translation. In September 2014 one will be held at the Lumb Bank Centre in Yorkshire. Find out more here.
