Central European Initiative Fellowship for Writers in Residence

The Central European Initiative (CEI) Fellowship for Writers in Residence is open for applications each spring for young writers from South East Europe. Writers under the age of 35 from Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia or Ukraine can apply for the fellowship which involves a bursary and three-month stay in any of the CEI member states. The winner will also be a guest at the Vilenica International Literary Festival which takes place in Slovenia each September.
The fellowship is awarded in co-operation with the Slovenian Writers’ Association and aims at encouraging cross-border cooperation and promotion in the field of literature for young writers from Central European countries not yet part of the European Union.
