The festival franco-anglais de poésie started as a poetry festival in 1976 at Marly-le-Roy, France, and became a multi-arts festival in 1982. An accompanying arts journal, La Traductière, was founded in 1983, ‘because of the need to keep track of the work carried out for the Festival.’
