Wasafiri
Wasafiri (which means ‘travellers’ in Swahili) is a British magazine for international contemporary writing. Launched in 1984 at the University of Kent, it is published quarterly. Its original aim was to give coverage to writers who would not otherwise receive sufficient attention from the press because of their ethnic or cultural backgrounds. It has therefore become a forum for discussion of themes such as migration and diaspora, and a strong supporter of literary and cultural exchange across national frontiers.
