Director of LAF at Thessaloniki Book Fair
LAF director Alexandra Büchler participated in an ENLIT network meeting and moderated one of two panel debates with ENLIT members during the Thessaloniki Book Fair which celebrated its 20th anniversary during 16-19 May,
Pictured above on the right, Alexandra moderated the discussion entitled Can we talk about European Literature, as an identity? about the deep historical and cultural connections between the countries that makes European identity a strong heritage. With 27 countries and 24 official languages, the panel discussed how the European Union is a multicultural continent and the same time a cultural identity and included Olena Odynoka (Ukrainian Book Institute), Pavel Sibyla – Slovak Literature Centre, Sinéad Mac Aodha – Ireland Literature, Paul Hermans – Flanders Literature and Svetlozar Zhelev – Bulgarian National Book Center.
