The EU Cultural Contact Point in the UK are running a bid-writing workshops for applicants to the EU funding strand 1.2.2 ‘Literary Translation’. The workshop will be a chance for publishers to get step by step guidance on the application process plus information on the requirements and other relevant issues ahead of the 6th February deadline. Culture Contact point will be able to answer any queries you may have about your own project. The workshop will feature advice from Susan Curtis-Kojakovic, Director of Istros Books and twice-successful applicant to the Literary Translation strand, and LAF’s Alexandra Büchler who will briefly discuss the general distribution of the funding for literary translation.
Please note that this is NOT a general information event on the Culture programme but a workshop for book publishers applying to the Literary Translation strand and at a fairly advanced stage of their project development.
The workshop will take place from 2pm to 4.30pm in London on Wednesday 9th January at the Free Word Centre in London. Registrations will start at 1:30pm. The delegate fee for this event is £10 (no VAT) per person. Culture Contact point ask participants to email us their application summary in advance of the workshop and by Friday 4 January to firstname.lastname@example.org.Click here to register
