Tramlines Barcelona residency
14th – 21st January
Barcelona
LAF and the Barcelona Centre for Contemporary Culture continue the Tramlines project where we put short story writers on trams in cities across Europe and Egypt. Alexandria-based writer Eman Abdelhamid will spend a week-long residency in Barcelona – riding the trams of the city and observing the urban environment and communities along the route, all of which will form the basis of a short story. A smart phone application containing all the Tramlines stories is being created by LAF and Comma press, which will allow people to listen to or read the stories during their journey on public transport. Find out more about the Tramlines project here.
This residency follows on from Barcelona writer Francesc Serés’s residency in Alexandria. You can see some photographs from all the residencies so far on ourFacebook page.
