Poet and architect Efe Duyan studied architecture and philosophy and currently teaches architecture in İstanbul at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and modern Turkish poetry at the Nâzım Hikmet Academy. He has participated in several international events including the Edinburgh Book Festival and the Word Express project. His poems have been translated into English, Czech, Chinese, Danish, French, Hebrew, Slovenian, Croatian, Romanian, Macedonian, Occitan, Serbian, Bosnian and Greek. His poetry collections are Takas (with Kemal Özer, 2006) and Tek Şiirlik Aşklar (2012). The Construction of Characters in Nâzım Hikmet’s Poetry was published in 2008.
