Literary Europe Live in China

We’re returning to the The Bookworm Literary Festival again this year where we’ll be presenting European authors at a series of events in Beijing, Chengdu and Suzhou.
Writer Owen Martell from Wales, Jordi Punti from Catalonia, Nora Wagener from Luxembourg and the European Union Literature Prize winner Undine Radzeviciute from Lithuania will be presenting their work at a special Literary Euope Live event in Beijing, moderated by Alexandra Büchler.
In co-operation with the EU Delegation to China, five Eruopean authors will also take part in a debate on “Why Literature Matters in Europe” which will be held in Beijing and moderated by Bidisha.
As part of our visit to China, Owen Martell and Jordi Punti will be taking part too in the Script Road Festival in the former Portuguese colony of Macau in March, as well as appearing in Shanghai at the end of their tour.
2016 seems to be a year of anniversaries – it’s Script Road’s fifth birthday, Bookworm’s tenth birthday and LAF’s fifteenth birthday. Time for some literary cheer!
Co-ordinated by Literature Across Frontiers, the Literary Europe Live project is supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
