Ilke Froyen
Ilke Froyen is general director of Passa Porta, the international house of literature in Brussels, and festival director of the Passa Porta Festival of Literature. Both the house of literature and the festival offer a passport to contemporary world literature in the multilingual heart of Europe.
Ilke was a jury member for several literary prizes, including the Flemish Cultural Prize for Literature and the European Prize for Literature. She is member of the board of directors of the Bronks theatre for a young audience and a member of the General Assembly of the Flemish reading development organisation Iedereen Leest, as well as the Cultural Council of Brussels. She also sits on the advisory board of the Dutch Fund for Literature.
