Matilda Södergran (b. 1987) was born in Korsnäs, Finland, but has lived in Malmö, Sweden, for several years. In 2006, she won the first prize in the Arvid Mörne poetry competition and in 2008 she published her acclaimed debut poetry collection, Hon drar ådrorna ur (She pulls out her veins). A second collection, Deliranten (Delirious), was published in 2009, and a third, Maror (ett sätt åt dig) (Maror (a way for you)), appeared in 2012. She is currently attending her final year master’s programme in translation at Lund University and also works as a literary critic.
