Nanor Kebranian
Nanor Kebranian is Assistant Professor in the Department of Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies at Columbia University. She completed her dissertation on the novels of Hagop Oshagan (1883 – 1948) at Oxford University (2010), where she pursued her research with the generous support of graduate fellowships from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation and Oxford’s Clarendon Fund. Her interests include the intersection of politics and literature, with emphases on diaspora narratives and the late Ottoman world. She is currently preparing her manuscript tentatively entitled “Converts, Convicts and the Poetics of Community”.
