Manchester Letters features an online correspondence between UK author Jenn Ashworth and Turkish writer Nermin Yildirim. Between May and October 2012, the two writers shared insights into their working lives, and discussed current works in progress, sources of inspiration and how their social and political environments impact on their creativity. You can read the conversation and contribute your own observations on the Manchester Letters blog.
Jenn and Nermin also took part in live events as part of the Istanbul Tanpinar Literature Festival and the Manchester Literature Festival in 2012.
Manchester Letters is a partnership project between Manchester Literature Festival, ITEF-Istanbul Tanpinar Literature Festival, Literature Across Frontiers and the British Council, and has been generously supported by the Garrick Charitable Trust.
