Migration, Identity, Language: international poetry evening at the Poetry Day Festival

In cooperation with our sister organisation Culture Reset, we are delighted to announce an evening at the Poetry Day Festival, Prague with poets from Armenia, Poland, Wales, Slovenia and Serbia.

Migration, identity, language: international poetry evening  will take place at the Václav Havel Library on November 15th between 7 and 9 pm

Discussing topical themes such as migration and cultural identity the five poets who are participants in two current LAF projects will also read from their work. Tatev Chakhian, Zofia Baldyga and Gareth Evans-Jones are participants in  ‘Counterpoint: narrating migration from the periphery as centre’, one of this year’s selected projects for the European Fund for Emerging Artists, while Ivan Antić a Aljaž Primožič will be in residence in Prague as part of the Ulysses’ Shelter project.

The evening will take place in English, with poetry readings in Armenian, Polish, Welsh, Serbian and Slovenian with English and Czech translations.
