Kathrine Sowerby

Kathrine Sowerby is a writer living in Glasgow, Scotland. Her background is in fine art/textiles and she has an MFA from Glasgow School of Art. Her chapbooks Unnecessarily Emphatic and Tired Blue Mountain are published by Red Ceilings Press, her poetry collection That Bird Loved by Hesterglock Press, and her book of stories The Spit, the Sound and the Nest by Vagabond Voices. She collaborates with artist/poet Tessa Berring (projects include Tables & Other Animals and BAZOOKA), won a 2013 New Writers Award from The Scottish Book Trust, and her writing has been described as “musical, lyrical, vital, vivid – set in the conversational tone of a friend you never knew you had”.
